Hello! I hope everyone had a Happy and Healthy New Year. Now...it's time to get down to business.
The South Council began the New Year with a bang, yesterday at Carrabba's. What a great meeting! The place was packed, business cards were passed and the program was top notch. It was great to see all the ideas being formulated for our guest speakers throughout the year. Sounds like the South Council is in for another record-breaking year!
A new initiative was also announced by our new President, Joe Lemire. We are now offering scholarships to the membership to join other councils. Cross-counciling! What a great way to strengthen the Councils.
Anyway, that's it for today...remember the MLK breakfast Friday at the Prime Osborn Center!

I agree it started strong. Our programs committee, chaired by Craig McColsky scheduled a unique session that engaged our membership. The program was facilitated by Pat McManamon and gathered valuable input from the members on what programs they would like to see in 2008.
Also, the food was great, no one does Chamber Chicken better than Carrabas.
See you on 1/22 for our next lunch
